    1. This includes processing applications for; Customary Estates, public land allocations, leasehold renewals, transfer and extensions.
    2. Verification of land ownership and tenure status.
    3. Advising council and communities on land rights and obligations.
    4. Administration of customary land under traditional Authorities in the District.
    1. Providing technical support to; Customary Land Committees (CLC), Group Village Headpersons and Traditional Authority.
    2. Facilitating Customary land Adjudication, Demarcation and registration of customary estates.
    3. Sensitization of communities on customary land rights and land registration procedures.
    4. Ensuring gender and vulnerable group inclusion in land registration
    1. Preparation and Implementation of; Local Physical Development Plan, Rural Growth Centre Layouts, Trading Centre and Settlement layouts.
    2. Development Control by vetting building plans, enforcing zoning and planning standards.
    3. Monitoring land use to curb encroachments, informal and unplanned development
    1. Identification, demarcation and verification of land boundaries.
    2. Production and updating of layout plans, cadastral and thematic maps.
    3. Supporting surveys for customary land registration, public infrastructure and development projects.
    4. Boundary verification in land dispute cases.
    1. Valuation of land and property for; compensation and resettlements, ground rents and property rates.
    2. Management of council-owned land and properties.
    3. Advising council on land acquisition, disposal and leasing.
    1. Investigation and documentation of land disputes involving Customary Land, Public Land and Council Land.
    2. Providing technical advise to Traditional Authorities, Magistrate Courts and Council Committees.
    3. Enforcement follow-up on land related judgements and Council decisions.

    2. Digitization and secure storage of land data
    3. Provision of land information to council departments, government institutions and the general public,
    4. Supporting establishment of a District Land Management Information System.
